    • All teams are guaranteed at least 6 games.

    What are the field policies?

    • Absolutely NO ALCOHOL ON THE FIELDS. There is a ZERO tolerance policy for this rule and all teams who bring alcohol to the fields will be asked to leave and potentially not be invited back to future LDUC events.
    • No dogs, even on leashes. Sorry, but you have to leave Rover at home for this one.

It looks good, but what am I getting from LDUC?

What happens if the tournament gets cancelled due to weather?

In this case, the tournament directors will issue refunds to all teams minus all pre-paid costs of running the tournament.  Weather is beyond our control and while we make sure to situate the tournament during a favorable seasonal window, we cannot promise anything. Sadly, the UCSC fields are the only fields within the city of Santa Cruz capable of holding this tournament and backup fields are not an option.  The tournament directors will do their best to let teams know as far in advance as possible of any issues related to weather and make sure that they are aware of the implications.

As part of all team’s bid acceptance, all teams and players attending LDUC, in any year, agree to not hold the tournament directors , the LDUC tournament and staff, the UCSC campus, athletics department and school legally responsible for any issues related to weather, UCSC campus facilities, nighttime activities while in Santa Cruz for the tournament or any injury sustained while playing the inherently dangerous sport of Ultimate (Frisbee).
**All players will be required to sign a UCSC campus waiver on Saturday of the tournament in order to be eligible for Sunday play**
