    2010 - 08.10

Riot – Seattle, WA (NW) -

After losing 9 players from the 2010 roster that finished 3rd at both WUCC and the USAU Club Championships, Riot has re-loaded with 6 dynamite rookies and is better than ever. Co-captains Gwen Ambler (#3) and Sarah “Surge” Griffith (#6) are at the helm again, helping Riot to achieve its full potential in 2011 and beyond. Thus far, the team has earned two finals berths (Flowerbowl & Solstice) and one semifinals finish (Colorado Cup) en route to winning the competitive ECC tournament. Riot is known for an aggressive game that likes to push the disc deep to its numerous athletic receivers. Combined with a lot of high energy (fire+heart), this is a formula that has earned the team multiple prestigious tournament victories over the years, not least of which are two Club Championships. Skilled throwers like Claire Suver (#88), Drew Johnson (#15), Rohre Titcomb (#44), and Val Dion (#66) have a number of attractive targets to choose from, including speedsters Calise Cardenas (#7) and Hana Kawai (#14). On defense, watch for Keely Dinse (#22), Shannon O’Malley (#11), and Loriana Berman (#34) to consistently shut-down the toughest match-ups.

Last year at LDUC 2010, Riot lost in a close battle to San Francisco Fury in the Finals 10-15.
